Today is one of my two days off. As such, I spent a decent portion of it by my computer. I also had an assignment due tomorrow, and I was also cooking kefthethes (Greek recipe, mine has chickpeas). I need to meet someone tomorrow, and I don’t have my phone, so I had to specify exactly where we would meet, and what time, which is kind of annoying but not the end of the world. After cutting 3 of the 5 fingers on my left hand because I have never tried to mush chickpeas, my roommate pointed out how stupid I was being, and how I should just use the blender. I have spent 3-4 hours cooking today, and the food is pretty amazing. Being immobile allowed me to stay connected through my laptop, so I don’t even know if this can be considered a tech-lite day. When you have nowhere to go, not having a mobile phone is not such an issue. I still need to message people, and not having my phone makes that difficult. Apparently my Dad (who did not see my facebook message), started smoking again because I stressed him out while he waited for me to come skype him. One of the drawbacks of not having my phone is that my cross-country connection is now somewhat broken.
That’s all I have really, sorry this is not particularly scintillating, but I am trying to keep to my promise to blog every day on not having my phone.
